If I had to describe Baltimore City, it would be as a Treasure map full of fun, and free things to explore! If you ever find yourself headed to Baltimore, downtown is where you might wanna to be. There’s museums, galleries, and so much more in the city.If you’re looking for cool places to go, then here’s the fun and free side to the city.
This week a group of my friends and I decided to have some fun in downtown. Downtown Baltimore has so much to offer, it breaths ambition and adventure. You never know what you’re going to find in Baltimore. We decided to go to Fells Point downtown, where every corner has an interesting view. This part of the city isn’t entirely cheap, but the place is full of interesting consignment shops.
If you are thrifting savvy, then this place is great for you. Right in the middle you can find a local Goodwill, and many other consignment shops! Plus they sell some of the best gelato. Fells Point has a great array of places to eat at. While one side of Fells may sell Italian, the other side could sell Tacos. The best of both foods!
Things to do at Fells Point:
- Walk along the pier.
- Observe the environment.
- Try on thrift store clothes
- Get some oysters!
- Go bar hopping.
- Date Night.
Walters Art Museum
After Fells, my friends and I also decided to check out what else the city had to offer. Bringing us to the Walters Art Museum. A collection of the mid-19th century objects, and paintings, along with islamic manuscripts, and Christ’s Crucifixion artwork.Walking into this museum, I truly believed I hit the jackpot. The artwork was so abstract, and interesting. The patterns along the walls, and portraits were very admiring.
I admit that the Crucifixion artwork was bit harsh. Still beautiful, the museum is the perfect first date choice. The place is amazing for art loving folk also. This museum is a definite to-do! The best thing is that this place 100% free.
Charles street, a great place to be! Theres so much along this street including; cafes, museums, galleries’s, restaurants, and other observant structures! Theres so many mesmerizing about this site. Like other market places, Charles Street is home to a good few. Make sure to definitely check out the seafood around this area. Everything so tasty!
Apart from all three locations, the Baltimore harbor is the ultimate place to visit. During this time of the year ice skating is one of the best things to do, if the chance ever comes. The hard rock cafe wouldn’t hurt either, they have the best milkshakes. Completely to die for. There’s the aquarium, and shopping, and so much more.
Ever wanna hang in a cafe to read. Barnes and noble are on the harbor, so you’ll never miss a greater time to read. Taking a job wouldn’t hurt either, the atmosphere is perfect in this area.
