Tips To Surviving The Fall Semester
Bringing you back to the bell this fall 2017. With July coming to an abrupt end, back to school sells are right around the corner of August. While I don’t recommend ending a long deserved vacation, I think it’s time to get headed into a fall semesters mindset. Thats right ladies and gentle men. Its time to bust out the portable chargers, and student prime accounts because summer has just got a bit more fun.
Haven’t you heard! Preparing yourself for this fall semester won’t just have you intact this semester, but driven with a clear mindset. So put your seat belts on, because were going back to the bell!
Back To The Bell
Have you heard it yet, ya know the school bell. Its headed for us pretty soon. Now before it happens, I suggest you listen to the 3 things to keep on you during this fall semester.
- Portable charger
Having your personal portable charger around you during this semester won’t just keep you posted on the latest social updates, but with the help of convenient electricity, keeping an eye on blackboard, and due dates just got even better.
- Water bottle
Nothing’s more important then keeping yourself hydrated this semester. I know for me, spending countless dollars on soda machines around campus wasted money that would of otherwise gone to bills. #lifeofabrokecollegestudent
- Campus ID card
Especially when on campus, you should never forget your campus ID. I know for me, I tend to always have problems keeping my ID on me. With the help on lanyards, I’ve managed to save my campus ID from getting lost.
With the help of keeping up with these three things, you’ll definitely be ready to crush this semester! Without style though, starting a semester fashion less is like starting a paper without a pencil! Moving on to your stylish needs this semester.
With a month until the beginning of the school semester, giving yourself an idea of how you’d like your closet to look this semester guides you to your fall look of 2017. Remember to try different layers, and patterns until you find something you like. then be like me, and always try to change the style of the outfit. This semester I recommend five stylish accessories to wear this fall.
- Denim Jacket’s
This fall speaks denim jackets. Perfect for the weather toward the end of August, keeping you warm and stylish! Denim jackets make you look both great and edgy. They set the perfect aesthetic this fall. The best thing is they’re easy to pair with anything. So take it from me, and get denim this school year.
- Slip on shoes
Slip on shoes have saved me from rushing to class almost late. With the comfortability, and easy access. After buying a pair of Adidas slip on’s I agree that all slip on shoes are a need for the semester. Everyone has a lazy day once in a while, and I guarantee you won’t always want to be best dressed after a 8 hour lecture. So do the deed and buy yourself some ASAP!
- Neutral colored hats
Speaking of convenience, nothings better then having the perfect beanie for bad hair days. Trust me, we all get them. Especially during the fall, as mid-terms begin to kick in.Remembering to keep a hat with you this semester will definitely save you from embarrassing your crush this fall.
- Face Moisturizer
Keeping your face always moisturized is an absolute must! You always want to have a clear, radiant appearance when you’re interacting with other peers. Plus it adds a plus to your overall look. One of my favorite face moisturizers is by Ponds. Meant to clear blemishes, while leaving the skin plump and clear.
- Favorite pull-over hoodie
Pull-over hoodies will be your best friend, while the semester goes soon. Easy putting on, and taking off the hoodies are also stylish. Currently, you can catch deals on hoodies, at H&M and American Eagle.
I hope you take heed in my stylish suggestions for you this fall. Its important to keep up with trends, while also staying comfortable during the semester. When you’re able to relax you can finally give yourself sometime to plan and think about some semester goals.
Determining Your Semester Goal’s!
The best way to start preparing for the semester is to write it down! Thats right, bringing me to why you must buy a planner. I can’t explain how important planners are. They don’t just keep you posted, but also keep you consistent and organized. Without my daily planner I wouldn’t be able to get through half of my week. So what I like to do is plan things ahead. My exam dates, concert dates, and doctor check-ups all go within my planner so I’m constantly notified. Think of it as a phone, but just for your life updates. Since I’ve had a planner, I can truly say I rarely miss due dates. So plan your research proposals ahead, its always better to stay caught up then to be left behind.
Without a planner life can be unorganized, and stressful. Not having yearly goals can be life altering though. I remember the first time I wrote down my semester goals. I clearly printed exactly what I wanted to complete that follow semester. It wasn’t until the beginning of the next semester when I realized each goal had been completed from that list. The power of writing I tell you. I hope this inspires you to try to plan your semester, and life goals.
The first step to determining your semester goals, begin on finding the perfect study spot for you semester. Moving onto the perfect study spot for this fall.
The Perfect Study Spot
This fall is about to get more comfortable, and centered. Now when you’re looking for the perfect study spot on your campus, you have to think about what kind of studier you are. Quiet, group-orientated, or free-styled. I like to think of myself as a free-styled studier. Meaning that I’m able t study practically anywhere, so if you’re like me and able to study anywhere it shouldn’t be harder finding the right spot to write your cover letter at. Serene locations and places that overall lower your stress help out a lot. remember, some people study in libraries, then others study at Starbucks. So if you’re like me, and have the right spot for you its time to move onto finding your stability for this semester.
Stability Through Your Semester
Having a healthy semester, is having a good semester. Either way, stressing out over grades and horrible professor’s never make it better to proceed through the semester. If you get a bad grade on a quiz, try harder next time to ace the next one. Sometimes if you’re stuck with a crappy professor, the odds are to outsmart them, and try your best to earn an “A” for that class.
From personal experiences, I know my last semester was a tough one due to poor professional leveled educators. That doesn’t mean I stopped trying, it just made me want to try harder to be as good as I know I am. So wether your picking out classes, or buying new text books. Remember to give yourself a break once in a while, but always be consistent! So listen to me when I say stay positive through this upcoming semester, because it can only get better once its started.
