Dear Younger Me
Feeling a bit nostalgic about the past. Wondering to myself what i’d say to the younger me. Would we reminisce about the younger days where id stay up late playing Sims 3, or even reenacting scenes from Twilight. Maybe id just hold myself while the younger me would cry about the heartbreak, and not so good events. If anyone knew me then, you’d see how I was a total nerd. In the end people get older, and change so we can never expect ourselves to be the same person 5 years from now.
So lets say you’re in an attic, checking out some old family nostalgia and you surprisingly find a photo album devoted to photos of you, and experiences that you’ve been through. Maybe you even find letters from years ago from long lost love ones.If you could, what would you tell yourself then? Would you help them mend, grow, or just tell yourself the truth.Since my younger days, I’ve grown a lot to understand a lot of life lessons, while there are still ones that i’m still learning. Life’s a process of growing, until you can look yourself in the mirror happy with where you find yourself at that moment. So, what would you say? For me the first thing I would have to tell myself; is the possibility of believing. When you’re able to believe in who you are, things that may seem impossible, simply turn into i’m possible.
Believe In Yourself
Believe in yourself throughout any goal, challenge, or desire you wish to accomplish. Through hard work and consistency we are matched with the strength to continue on. When you can believe, it makes it even easier to achieve. So, don’t look to anyone for the answers to your problem, because in the end the only person in the world that can give you what you want is yourself. Believe in love, and believe in a life full of possibility. You must know that it will never be easy, and the moment everything becomes easier strive for more. We all need a challenge within our lives so that we may keep fighting the unstoppable battle of prosperity. When we are faced with threat, we should never run instead continue on. Even when you’re in the dark, theres always an ounce of light somewhere waiting to be found. So keep fighting and focus on what makes you happy.
Focus On What Makes You Happy
Focus on the positivity, and what makes you happy. Live life to the fullest, and never go into any situation being judgmental. When we view the world with judgement we are closing our souls ability to wonder creatively. Think big, and dream bigger. Having bigger dreams will only make the adventures you have even better. With bigger dreams come a responsibility, to never accept less than what you believe you are. We don’t need validation for anything we do, nor acceptance. If you stay in the status quo, you only find yourself being limited to alternative routes of the world. So smile more, and remember to relax while taking care of yourself. Take time for yourself and have a lazy day, or even two! Take on as many hobbies as you like, as long as you are happy with them. Just remember never to overwhelm yourself with too much priorities, we all know how that can go. Just promise me, that you’ll in the end never give up.
Never Give Up
Push harder on the days that you’re lazy, and even more when you feel like theres no more to do. Every day is important to creating the life that you want for your future. Don’t underestimate your talents, and stay humble. Comparing yourself to others will do nothing but attack your self-esteem. Speaking of self-esteem; try practicing daily positive affirmations and find how much more grateful you’ll be. Gratitude means everything, so look up at the world and be appreciative for the good, the now, and where you are because wether your happy or unhappy you could have it worse then what it is. Stay consistent with everything you do, and don’t afraid of the pressure. Learning to work in pressure creates an inhabitable skill set for you whenever you need it. Work towards your goals, and create a positive morning routine to start your day right. We all have our wants and desires, and sometimes we have to be real and decide wether our desires are good for us or not. Stay true to yourself, and remember that the key to life is happiness. In the end, you will grow into the person you’ve always dreamt to be.
You Will Grow
Your growth will come over time, and during that time you will experience a lot of smiles, laughs, heartbreak, and pains that will only make you stronger. People will come and go out of your life, and you will learn lessons from those people. Everything has an underlining meaning so don’t over interpret, and just know that everything will be okay. Don’t be to serious, and live life to the fullest because its the only one you were given. People might not understand what you’re doing, and that will never matter as long as what you are doing matters to you. Life will have its cycles, and spontaneity will come and go. Its okay to have the boring days, and the uneventful days because not every day is going to be fantastic. Some days will be harder to wake up, while others will be a lot more easier. Live through your intention, and in the end you will be okay from now & then.
