This week I decided to pick up my bags, and travel for the holidays to San Francisco CA. Where I wouldn’t just enjoy the landscapes, but the food also. There’s something special about this place. From the quirky houses, to very steep roads. San Francisco just bring its own ambiance with it. While other places around San Francisco are nice, but not as up to par. Though places like Berkeley did surprise me. I have to say the foods here are amazing, and the originality of the restaurants just top the cake.
After successfully trying these burgers I soon morned for Super Duper Burgers to come to my hometown. The best part about the burger in my opinion was everything. Now I do like my fair share of burgers, In-N-Out Burger is pretty good, but only because of their affordability. Five guys burgers are amazing in every way, but where are the garlic fries guys! Super Duper came with it all, plus a little special sauce that made everything taste exceptional. If you love burgers you’ll love Super Duper even more.
It wasn’t intentionally that I was going to eat at Buttercup Grill & Bar, but there hadn’t been any other place open for thanksgiving, and I was dying for some chicken and waffles. Well instead of the chicken with the waffles, Buttercup had them separate, I then decided to get some waffles and more! This food was the bomb. Now it wasn’t just because of the perfectly butter waffles, or the taste of the smoked ham. It was the soda! It was perfectly acidic to my taste haha. This kitchen did surprise me for the better.
Now I didn’t just enjoy my vacation by eating through everything, I had managed to find my way around some very unique and particular spots.
Ive never felt more memorized when touching my feet to the ground for the first time on this place. The houses are unique, the people are unique. Everything there had a pinch of uniqueness there. Before I had decided to come into path with San Francisco, I had thought Los Angeles was the perfect place for me. The people cared more for themselves. They lived healthier lives. Everyone seemed a lot more happy then on the east coast. Now don’t get me wrong New York is amazing, and homeless people everywhere 24-7 tends to be annoying and depressing. We have all heard about skid row, but everyone has there struggles. Like the homeless. New york is heavily populated. I can’t say that isn’t fun and interesting at times. It just comes a point where you find yourself around more people then you crave to be around.
In San Francisco I had grown to love on part of the city more then the others. It was the Haight & Ashbury area. Now if you had done your research and know already about public nudity in San Francisco. Yes it is legal to be nude in public. I honestly think that this makes the state even more special in my eyes. Passing the Haight & Ashbury area for the first time I first Saw myself falling in love with all of the consignment shops like WasteLand, Crossroads, or Buffalo Exchange. I also caught myself from constantly going into a local bookstore. The beauty in every block is just so particular.
The creativity is amazing here. I have never walked down a street only to be attacked with bubbles from the sky. The happiness of the people here made my experience way better then I could expect it to be.
Now I’m going to leave with a predictable goodbye, at least for now.
Always & Forever,
