My Kinda Tea
Is it me, or is it something about the fall weather that makes me want tea. Speaking of tea, since October I’ve been drinking it non-stop. I always think its important to have a cup of tea, especially when you’re in this season! Don’t you just love it all. The way the leaves change color, or how you get a slight chill from being outside longer then you should.
Wether you decide pumpkin spice lattes are for you or not, this keys to life blogpost is sure to get you motivated. This leads us into my kinda tea, where we sort and talk about various activities, and things you can start doing now, to get the best out of the season. First things firsts, when you find yourself in need of free time, who do you call? Starting this list right, nothings better then having a friend by your side to share your latte experiences with.
Stay In Touch
With every season comes gracious memories, and moments that never come around as often as they do during the fall season. Therefore, this month take some time to connect with someone who’s close to you’re heart. Since the beginning of the fall season, i’ve had various moments to connect with people who mean lot to me. If you’re not sure where to start, maybe begin deciding who you should first call. After that you should be set on your next move. Trust me its easier then it looks.
wether you decide on calling a friend, close family member, or romantic interest keeping in touch tells the other person worth to you. So be honest with yourself, and pick up that phone. Someone needs a phone call, and it isn’t grandma. When you finally have the time, then you can go back into your room, and leave the day for self exploration! Isn’t it amazing when you get some alone time for some relaxing mindfulness.
Always leave time for yourself to repose, and engage in mindfulness. This helps you stay close and connected to who you truly are. On a day where the suns away, and its raining theres nothing more fun then snuggling up with yourself to an entire season of Stranger Things! Anyone who’s a fan should know that I am totally in love with the cast. If anyones looking to add any shows to their Netflix queue, Stranger Things definitely should keep you locked in your room for the entire day. I know for me, once I get hooked onto a show I cant help but continue!
Honestly, having a moment in silence throughout my day tends to help me focus even more of my energy into what I really want to accomplish. When were able to meditate, and throw away the sound. Silence brings our true self, making it more present to interpret what you truly want. So grab your cappuccino and journal because its time to make a list!
When in doubt, write it out! Seriously, if fall has told me one things its to have a journal with a pen accompanying it. With list you have no boundaries, no limits, anything is achievable. Have a set of fall favorite movies you’ve been trying to watch? Write it down, and categorize it into a priorities list. Have a few fall themed activities you’ve been trying to finally accomplish? Create a fall to-do-list and make an effort to work through it.
Work on prioritizing your list until you’re able to finally finish it! Nothings better then writing down and goal, and achieving it. When you put your mind to anything, you make everything possible for you to accomplish. No matter the challenge, if you want it, it can happen. Just remember to work towards those challenging tasks daily, and remember to button up.
My biggest advice for you this November is to stay stylishly warm! When you’re comfortable in your clothing, everything else seems easier. Plus everyone loves comfy clothing! It warms the heart, and it makes dressing up more fun. I recommend hats, scarfs, and a cute jacket to accompany you this season. Im currently in love with Banana Republic, and their outer wear. So simplistic, yet fashionable.
Wherever you find yourself going this fall, remember to have fun, and not take everything too seriously. With finals, holidays, and the end of the year coming up. Life can seem overwhelming, but I promise you everything will pass as it always does.Smile at the simple things, they matter more then we tend to think.
Don’t take things for granted, and stay true to yourself.
P.S. The song of the week goes to Alex Lahey in Air Mail for keeping my head in the clouds.
